Yesterday, I had one of those stomach bugs that I've had since I was a kid, That's why I didn't write anything, sadly. I feel a lot better now though. I wanted to order a pizza, but a medium two topping pizza costs about $25 to be delivered. Crazy. I pulled myself together enough to go to Giant to buy a frozen pizza, ice cream, and a breakfast burrito for tomorrow's breakfast.
I finally finished reading Killers of the Flower Moon by David Graham. A super sad and hidden part of our history.
I haven't been working enough on my dissertation lately. My advisor seems a little absent-minded, but she gives me good advice when I meet with her. I'll try to have a decent draft of my first chapter before I meet with her next Wednesday morning.
I've caught up on my CITI research modules and POD proposal reviews. Tomorrow, I'm sure I will feel even better--then, I'll catch up on my TPS Leadership course, my CLEP test studying, and my WIDA course. I also have to email a couple potential members of my dissertation committee my advisor recommended and catch up on my reading for my dissertation.
I am going to try to go to another book event at the Philadelphia Ethics Society and get out to Main Books to get the book I'll read with my mother and my godmother. And do my make-up SAT tutoring session with a student that I couldn't do yesterday as I was sick. I got an email from a student I tutored a long time ago. He wanted some help with essays--not sure what classes he has over the summer, but I'll help if I can. Whew.
