I was pretty unproductive today--I did a little CLEP studying and a tiny amount of class prep for this year, but that was basically it. Lounging in bed with the chihuahua gang, I binged on those amazing Harlan Coben short drama series, finishing up Lazarus. (I should really read more of his books instead, but everyone has their guilty pleasures, I guess.)
Tomorrow morning, there is a meet and greet with our interim principal at 10 AM. I can't stay up with 3 AM reading tonight then, haha. I'll go to bed soon. Hopefully, I'll be able to put some stuff in my new classroom. I'm looking forward to getting all of my school stuff out of my kitchen.
Tomorrow I'll have to get cracking on my study plan for real again...and start making more concrete lesson plans for the first two weeks of school. I made my to-do list anew.
I have to go get Pinky a tag, figure out a parking fine, go to Target and Giant...I'm considering getting a third hole in my ears, a manicure, and maybe even a haircut before school starts, haha. I'll be a brand-new me.
I never heard back from that super-cool professor I met at his book talk. I don't know what's wrong with me. I felt I had a really strong connection when I met him very briefly. It seemed to me we could be good professional connections or friends or something. Obviously, that was way off-base.
