Three More Days!

I forgot to write last night..oops.

I have three more days off before I have to go back to work. Yesterday, we had a meet and greet with the interim principal for next year. I was a little late, and I went to where it was supposed to me. Of course, they moved the location and didn't post it anywhere. One of the assistant principals told me.

The interim principal seemed okay, but the meet and greet was pretty depressing. There was no coffee or anything. There were maybe about 30 people there? They were just all talking asking questions. The interim principal basically said the plan was to focus on the students. She did also say that all staff would be expected to hold to the district's professional standards, however. Hopefully it's a new start. However, the moved location with no warning and no refreshments at the meet and greet don't bode well to me.

I had coffee (or well, matcha drinks) with my friend M and her daughter N today. They came back from vacation in Mexico a few weeks ago. It was nice to see them.

I observed another dissertation defense today. It's nice to be able to do that. It makes me feel a little more confident about my own--something I was really nervous about..
