Another Signed Book!
I had a super embarrassing event Thursday...luckily no one at work noticed. I was feeling more and more nauseous as the day went on. Luckily, we had a half-day of classes as there was a welcome kick-off party at the football field. I somewhat unexpectedly threw up all over myself just before the students were dismissed. I felt awful I couldn't walk them over to make sure they went (figures I miss the fun part too), but I had no choice. I sent frantic emails and texts to get the number of the person who I had to contact about needing to go home. She was okay with it though, and I walked out hiding the wet stains on my shirt and pants. Luckily again, I didn't pass anyone. I took yesterday off to recuperate. I needed too.
Anyway, in more exciting news, I went to a cool book talk today. The author is a US representative. See attached photo. I kinda of mumbled something about how I was worried about ICE, and I hoped he would help with that too when he signed my book. Awkward.
I'm a little behind on my dissertation research being sick for a couple days, but I'll catch up ASAP. My advisor wants me to finish the first three chapters this semester...fingers crossed.
